Default Dancing Oil Pressure - Normal?

Hey all,

Today when my car was up to temp my oil pressure was dancing around a bit. Is this normal? I had a low oil pressure warning earlier in the day (for 1 second then went back to normal). Maybe my oil sender unit is on the way out?

The senders r known to fail often. Its sounds like yours is on the way out. Only why to really verify is to graph against a secondary semsor. Most poeple just swap it out. Its reachable from the top, 19mm wrench and i think 7mm for the wire post nuts.

Just ordered one today and will swap it out. Seems like it is an easy job.

Mine does that (minus the low pressure warning). Let us know how it turns out!

Mine, too, and I get an occasional low pressure warning when the car is hot and idling.

I had that once and I just disconnected the wire an cleaned connection. It still acted a little goofy so I tapped the sender a couple time with the handle of a screwdriver and it has been good since then.
