Ok so it is not faster but it is hell fire its close!

A much more cost effective mod would be the addition of a Journoman Roundel which would reduce the lap time of the GT3 by a minimum of 5seconds...

What year is the CUP car? If its a 2002 or earlier cup then the 6 seconds in a long course confirm that cup cars are much faster.

The iss you are looking for is the September 2003 Panorama. It has a great comparo' of the '04 GT3 and Cup car, including suspension difference's, engine tweeks, etc.

Cup car on Dunlop slicks, GT3 street on MPSC
Lime Rock: difference of 4 seconds(2000 cup car)
Summit Point: 5 seconds(2000 cup car)
Daytona: 7.5 seconds (2002 cup car)
Atlanta: 7 seconds (2002 cup car)

Watkins Glen difference will be 7-8 seconds just as at Daytona. If using a 2004 Cup car for the comparison, the difference will be even more significant than with the 2000 or 2002 car.
