Default 996GT2 comparison…

I drove a 996GT2 today. Compared to my dated experience with a 996tt, the steering/clutch/brake pedal were heavier. But the sound deadening and suspension was very compliant/similar to a 996tt. I thought the GT2s would be stripped out like the GT3RS? I had a 997.2 GT3RS and it had much less sound deadening, more clutch chatter, brake squeal etc. especially compared to a Carrera S.

The 996 GT2 suspension was much more complaint than my 991.2 GT3 Touring, which I find too rough (I drive it in NYC to be fair).

Is the above a fair comparison/evaluation? Is the 997.1 GT2 similar? Is the 997.2 GT2RS more hardcore?

thank you

996GT2 is a 996GT3 with different gear ratios, a wide body, and 2 turbos
sure it was a real GT2? lol... 6tt and 6GT2 feel VERY different.

The difference in sound proofing is most noticeable in highway speeds, as a 996 turbo is not very quiet either. And a stock 996 GT2 has a dual mass flywheel and a GT3 RS has not, so the clutch/gearbox is more quiet.

Also stock 996 GT2 ceramics has some thin vibration dampers between the pads and the pistons making the brakes very quiet. I think the clubsport version do not have this.
