[QUOTE=NaroEscape;18652310]We are considering selling our GT3 and just want to get an idea of what its worth?
123k miles - it had 16k when we bought it 12 years ago. We've never tracked it - I think my wife took a few charity parade laps in it but that's the only time it's been on a track since we bought it. The previous owner did a few DE days with it but thats all I know of. I was kind of a daily driver for one of us pre-covid when Nadine was in an office every day. Since she works from home, I drive the GTI more because I'm usually hauling stuff around..
A few upgrades we've done:
- Ohlin's Road and Track suspension
- RSS engine mounts
- Numeric shifter cables going in next week (stock ones are getting 'sticky')
- all coolant pipes pinned.
The previous owner put on the GT3 RS front bumper and cup splitter. I've replaced the splitter a few times...
oil changes every 5k, Just did the trans fluid this winter. All routine maintenance always done - I do most of it myself but Black Forest Racing does the big stuff...
Not convinced we're selling...just thinking about it.
Thoughts?
I have a 2005 that is not as nice as this one so I would say $120K

Okay, I get that color can make a difference and add some value.
But it really looks like a sub 50k mile example can be found for about $100k. Plenty of results on BaT and other auctions in the sub100k range too.
Mileage is not going to make a car worthless by any means.
Or am I just missing the inside joke and people tossing out 6 figure valuations just having a laugh or just wishful comparative thinking?

You lost me at BAT

Why?
They are a huge part of the marketplace. They also make it very easy to sort through the data and see what vehicles were bid too or sold for (not merely data points of asking prices like forums)
The pricing on places like BaT is also more valuable for sellers. If something sells as Mecum or Sotheby's the seller still has to pay some hefty fees so the sale price is not comparable to what the seller would get in a private deal.

But when the wife says she "absolutely wants a GT4"...who am I to argue? Just wish we could do it and keep the 6-3....we'll see. gotta sell more racing gear!!
