Hi.
My car is scheduled to arrive in approx. 4 weeks and I am looking into getting the 3M clear protection treatment done.
I got a price of $500 from dealer. Any opinion as to pricing and any other sources in NY City area.
Thanks.
Chet

Chet,
After seeing this post, I tried to call you at the office and understand that you are traveling. I have a contact for you to check out locally. I can call you at home or at the office on your return.

$500 is cheap compared to what I've seen. Around here, the going rate for a good custom job is around $800-$1000. Is this custom or pre-cut pieces? You really want the custom cut stuff - seems to fit much better. I'd check out the work on another car that they've done also.

CME, IMO, it's a great thing to get done. I had Amourguard(No affiliation) in Greenwich CT, do mine Before it left the dealer.
I pretty sure U get what you pay for... My job, complete front( appx 1/3 up the hood), mirrors, rears -in front of wheels, inside wheel arches, rears in back and below(full), and lower rocker panels( WRAPPED UP into the inside sills, cost appx $935.
Unfortunatly the front lower( very difficult) section w/ all the curves for radiators etc, started to come undone. But Joe readily sent the boys up here yesterday and replaced it( newer design)....Gratis, and it took about 3 hours!
Oh yah, even the door handles! Like I've got long nails![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I had my RSA custom fitted last year for about $900. I am convinced that you get what you pay for---a friend of mine had his 993 TT done for $475 and it looks awful. Make sure whoever applies the 3M is very experienced and your car is not the guinea pig.
