Default GMG Sway Bar Reaplcement Bushings?

While installing my new Fabspeed exhaust, I looked at the rear sway bar bushings on my car was was not happy to see their condition! The previous owner of my car purchased a number of suspension and interior upgrades from GMG Racing including front/rear sway bars and Sparco seat mounts.

The rear sway bar is branded as a GMG bar and it shows numbers on it that resemble some sort of part numbers - 3RSARBR and what looks like either a serial number or part number - 253036. The bushing is red in color and has a stamped number on it - 5753. I am looking for replacement bushings! See attached pictures:

I tried calling GMG and the nice gentleman who answered really could not help. He gave me a name and email - jorge@gmgracing.com but I have yet to hear back from him. From what I have read, the GMG sway bars were actually manufactured by Eibach. I have a query into them, and I will call them tomorrow when they open to see if they can help.

Anybody here know much about these sway bars, and more importantly, where to source the bushings for them?? @James-GMG Can you offer some suggestions? I really do not want to go the ridiculous route of buying new sway bars because I cannot source replacement bushings! Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Toby

Best of luck getting good customer service from GMG..................
I suspect that you are correct that Eibach OEMs these.
Contact them. A principal @ Eibach is an active RL'er.
Eibach probably just needs to know the ARB diameter and the spacing between the two locating rings.
Or as above, Rob may be correct.

Rob,

The bar's diameter is 25mm. It's larger in diameter than the stock bar (although getting detail on the stock diameter is not easy). Since it's a rear bar, the bushing needs to fir within the stock retainer and it also has a flat edge that rests against the subframe.

quite a jump up in size from stock (believe 20.7mm but can physically check), too bad. Hopefully Eibach can supply what you need (maybe Energy or Powerflex, etc have a solution too)

Rob, I think that 20.7mm size is correct for the stock bar. The car is pretty stiff, but I don't mind it. After you've had a Cup, you tend to miss a stiff suspension even on the street!

Will keep folks updated on this. Contacting Eibach tomorrow (in addition to the email I have already sent). Film at 11.....

Good afternoon Toby,
Pretty sure Eibach supplied the bushing with the sway bars, but it’s been a long time since we’ve stocked them. We will double check on that for you and get back to you ASAP

@James-GMG and @gmgracing Thank you for getting back to me. It is helpful to know that these bars were sourced from Eibach. I have been in touch with them and they are ordering some replacement bushings for me. I did also correspond with Jorge and he confirmed that these are 28mm (front) and 25mm (rear) bars.

Thanks for chasing this down! I subscribed because at one point or another I'll be in the same boat with my bars.

@Sveach756 Well, the bars that GMG sold were OEM'ed from Eibach. After a long conversation with the Eibach Support Team, it turns out that these bushings are custom-made for Eibach by Energy Suspension. The Eibach part number for these bushings is UB0210. This is for the rear swaybar bushing. The front bushing is a 28mm bushing and if I remember correctly from my notes carries an Eibach part number of UB0211. The rear bushings are $16.34 and are currently on-order by Eibach from Energy Suspension. These bushings for the rear are slated to arrive in January. I have an order placed for 8 of them so I have spares.

BTW, Jorge at GMG Racing confirmed that the bars, front and rear, are manufactured by Eibach for GMG, and the front bars measure 28mm in diameter while the rear bars measure 25mm in diameter.

Good luck to those of you who have the GMG sway bars instaled!

Toby
