Default Did they make a metal gt3 center cap?
I just picked up a set 996 gt3 rims in 18x8.5 and 18x11 minus the center caps wondering if they were ever concave and metal or just plastic

Mine were the optional Porsche crests and as far as I remember, they are aluminum. The standard GT3 caps were also, to the best of my memory, aluminum.

I'm the second owner, but mine came with painted crest caps made of plastic.

Any part number for the painted crests in aluminum

The originals with the GT3 letters are plastic, at least in Europe.

They are all plastic. The crested ones have an aluminum crest that is bonded to the plastic cap.

Of course they were never aluminum. And you wouldn't want them to be. Plastic is better because aluminum would get dented, chipped and deformed and never fit right
