Z06 - I'm curious. Why not the real deal GT3 seats? Gert Carnewal has em they come with the right hardware so they slip right into the tracks. His price includes airfreight to your door (3 days). Since the cost is roughly the same does the recaro have an edge in some way?

Bob,
Couldn't agree more, the Pole Positions will require special mounting brackets and sliders which are not cheap by themselves. If it was one Recaro seat I would buy, it would have to be the SPG.
Ciao,
Johannes E.

i have GT3 seats, spg and pole positions. spg and pole position differs only in size and a tad in shape. both spg and pole position are a pain to fit in the car. you need adapters and brackets. stock slider will not work.
however, GT3 and pole positions are not the same price, bob. my GT3 seats are 2500/pair while the pole positions are 1500 including brackets.
i do like the GT3 seats better.

From what i have read the Pole Position is a larger seat, not much bigger but bigger and it is a very similar, and a quality seat.
I am 6'1" 220lbs 36"waist, i wish i could lose a couple of inches off the waist but it seems harder each and every year that passes.

Mooty - I did a search on Recaro Pole Position and they are listed at 1495 each in leather, 660 in cloth. Sliders are extra. YMMV.
Z06 - a 36 inch waist should be fine in the GT3 seats, I am a little less and they are very comfy - far better than the sport seats that come with the car. The OEM seats trmpoline and make the stiff suspension feel even stiffer. No comfort issues even on a six hour drive to Mosport.

i am 5'9", 175#, 32 waist.
for me, GT3 seats is most comfy, then pole position, then SPG. width of PP and GT3 is almost same, while SPG is noticeably narrower. if you plan to drive on street and you are bigger than me, forget the SPG. on track, i like SPG most due to narrowness and higher thigh bolster.
bob, you got me there. i was comparing apple and oranges as i compared prices of cloth PP vs leather GT3. if you want leather, then GT3 and PP are about same price. if you want cloth, GT3 is a lot more than PP.
