@Marv speaking of quiet, I want to replace the Pagid pads as they grew increasingly annoying driving around towns on my road trip...to the point where it was getting almost embarrassing. Which compound for the Hawk pads you like do you recommend?
These are the right pads?

@Marv thanks. I may go the ceramic options because everything is better with ceramic, right?
On another note, I put down a deposit to get colored PPF installed. The installer recommended Pure PPF which has a 7 year warranty and they warranty for a further 3 years against peeling or bubbling. The colored PPF looks a lot more like paint than vinyl and is a lot more durable. I'm conflicted about color since it seems that the installed color ends up being lighter than the sample.
They were suggesting Lagoon Blue which looks close to what Miami Blue looks like in real life:
My issue is that I don't like this color as it sits (it looks great in the above photos):
Miami Blue, on the other hand, looks like this in person:
They didn't have photos of what it looked like installed but the guy I was speaking with was concerned it would be lighter than I was hoping. Stek, who makes a similar product, looks like this installed:
Which I'm hoping looks roughly like this/what is in the video above:
I told them to order the Miami Blue since I'd rather be on the light side than a dark blue/green side. Any insight or suggestions?
On another note, I placed an order for custom carbon 3k weave Pole Positions with alcantara inserts, black leather and yellow deviated stitching similar to this:
I'm waiting to hear back if they can get the Porsche crest embossed on the top.

A few months ago, I had an itch for something different and went down a rabbit hole of researching other cars. A Ferrari FF caught my attention as did a 991.2 GT3 and a 997.GT3. At the end of the day, at least with the latter two, it's a different flavor of the same so I spent time thinking about why I'd swap out my 6-3, which boiled down to wanting a Skittles colored 911 and a slightly nicer interior. However, both of those were addressable while keeping the fun factor (give me a 991.2 GT3 in the canyons and all that's going to result in is me spending most my time in 3 digit territory cause the "this car may kill me" factor is dealt with by computer wizardry.)
So, fast forward to this month, I receive my custom upholstered carbon fiber pole positions from Germany with deviated yellow stitching:
And then this happened today:
it's colored ppf in Miami Blue and came out exceptionally well. Has the gloss and sheen of paint. Super happy with the outcome.
