Thanks gents. The car has aged gracefully - even the fried egg headlights have grown on me over the years.

996 interior is still the weak point, but now with modern 911’s the simplicity shines through.

I'm glad you're still enjoying it years later. While I have not experienced a 996 GT3, my 997 GT3 I feel the same way about. I know the 996 GT3 is even more analog, so I am sure it is even better from a driving experience perspective.

Whilst I agree the materials aren’t the greatest quality, the aesthetic of the interior has never bothered me. I prefer it to the modern interiors mostly down to the lack of screens which cause any interior to date quite quickly. Cup wheel looks great, I think it’s about time I fitted mine.
