Question Should I do it...

as many of you did, I placed my deposit for the GT3 a year ago. My salesman just called and confirmed their very last GT3 spot for me (July delivery), coz someone dropped out. I've test drove a GT3, it's 1 of the best P-car I've ever driven.

My concern is the 997 will be coming by the end of this year, will the GT3 hold it's value (since I would like switiching cars around). Should I take the GT3 now or the 997 later?

Thanks for all the advices

I doubt you will see a 997 based GT3 for some time.

I love mine and from what I've seen in the pictures of the 997 (and the interior) I prefer the look of my car. Go with the 996 GT3- you won't be disappointed! Sounds like you'd get one of the last ones too...

The GT3 will always be a very special Pcar, a 'regular' 997 will just be another Pcar a year or two later.

I have heard many conflicting reports on the model cycle of the 997, how long it will last, and how many variations it will spawn, and have no idea what is truth or rumour at this point, but if you are buying it as a keeper get the GT3 for sure. If you turn your cars over every 2-3 years then maybe wait for the first 997, and see what they come up with next.

I'm hoping that the V8 mid engined 'son of Carrera GT' rumour is the one that is the truth!
