I have had my gt3 for 4 years now. During that time the radio did not work. I would do all kind funky things like volume would spontaneously increase, or it would work then just stop and more.

I dont listen to the radio anyway, so I removed the fuse. Recently I had a planned long road trip with my wife and she asked about the radio, so I sent it for repair.

Yesterday, while re-installing the transmission on my 993, the radio on the GT3 spontaneously turned on. I turned it off and went back to work. About 40 minutes later it turned on again. I suspected the alarm and the car entering sleep state (its been sitting for almost 12 days) so I grabbed the remote and just as I thought the remote wouldnt work because of the sleep state. I used the key on the door and the alarm woke. I locked the car and unlocked it and the radio turned off on its own.

Anyone have some insight on happened? Tempted to pull the fuse again. The car makes enough noise on its own in lieu of a radio.
