Considering how few 6-GT3s came to the States in the first place, and how many are probably left, seeing 2 in the same place should actually be pretty darn rare!! Great pic.

SD has a pretty good concentration of them. I know of three others and myself in the area. With Martin and cgfen that makes 6 in SD.

Come to a northern New Jersey PCA DE event. 7-8 of them in the paddock almost every event.

We had 2 in a garage at ARPCA Watkins Glen this weekend. Didn't see this thread until I got home, otherwise would have taken a picture. There were 2 others there too, as well as a 996.1 Cup Car.

I'm soo happy to see chuck's car back in service and dirty like it should be!!!. I drove mine to work the other day and it's fully detailed and spotless which I should appreciate but I like it much more when it's fresh from the track and dirty.

My 930 was Silver, my VW R32 is Silver. My old 91 Mitsubishi Turbo was also. That & Black cars. anyway. All 996 GT3's are beautiful no matter what color.

@ Vollig
cgfen has been a great source of help to me in San Diego. He was the guy that directed me to Vollig Motorwerks. cgfen is a great guy to bounce 6GT3 ideas off of. He is "handy" and has tackled all sorts of jobs that mere mortals would shy away from, such as dropping an engine and changing out coolant pipes. And it is clear, he knows how to take a 6 GT3 "butt" shot, or out cars.

Vollig Motorwerks, is an incredible resource for SoCal, from San Diego up to northern LA. The shop also offers track support at PCA SDR DE/TT events. It is relatively inexpensive, and Adam and his assistant Gary do everything you'd be doing...freeing you up with time to veg., and reflective on the most recent lap.....never hesitate to talk to Adam about some aspect of the track that has been giving you trouble. He is one hell of a driver.

Adam, in addition to being the owner, is lucky to have Gary as his assistant. These guys are poetry in motion at the track...a well oiled machine. If they are going to a track, I am signing up for track support. One last plug for Adam, he is Zen like in his approach to trouble shooting.......asking him a complex question and you can almost see his mind looking at applicable solutions, from the simple to the complex. Few I have ever know in the Porsche world have his diagnostic skills, and willingness to think outside the box, pardon the cliche.

And finally (At last you say), Vollig Motorwerks does routine maintenance as well as repairs, from the simple to the complex. cgfen and I are very pleased with their service. If you are very looking for an all around shop, this is one to seriously consider, even if it may necessitate a 100 mile tow.
