Got to agree with cgfen, who was greatly missed at Chuckwalla this past weekend, how could you not be there CF?

I confess, I do love the center exhaust of the 997, but I am content with the 6GT3 exhaust. I loved the gauges on my 993, those on the 6 GT3 are very similar....I also like that the only driver assists on the 6GT3 are the power brakes and ABS. Pretty much ole school, my school. And no pesky sunroof dropping the interior roof line. Just sayin.

Guess what I found in the magazine rack of my local Barnes & Noble? There were 4 copies. Now there are 3 (or less).

This is the older issue thst does say the 996 GT3 is great value at the moment. The issue after this is the one that compares all the generations of the GT3.

I believe this is the issue being talked about now.

Having spent time in both, the 997 interior is susceptible to the same wear as the 996 (actually 996 may be a bit more durable!) and the 996 exhaust sounds better once you go aftermarket. Other than that, 996 v 997.1 is eerily similar.
