Default porsch doesn't pratice what they preach !!! watch the viedo

Go to porsche.com and watch the GT3 viedeo . Look at the spedo the car has 1024km= 634mi and there beating the crap out of it. So much for keeping it under 4k for the first 1000mi. My gut is they run in thes motors on the dyno at the factory. Wat do you think?

The engine is already broke in and has fresh Mobile 1 in it. Don't lug it and don't WOT when cold.

Actually, that is Walter R. taking Sloth's GT3 on a test run after it rolled off the line.

Hey Viken, how many miles did it take you to pass 4,200 rpm?

In the Porsche hand book it states that engine speed should be moderated during the first 1000KM (620Miles) after which, Let it Rip!!! or words to that effect...

But if you let it rip (and you have PCCB), stay within legal limits as they are not required to replace them (if they fail) under warranty under anthing other than 'normal' driving......

I thought the delivery milage was kind of high...

FYI...
The engines are run on the dyno for ~30 minutes at the factory. At this time they are brought up to operating temp and checked to make sure they are within operating parameters and make the spec hp/tq... Surely better than nothing, but hardly a proper break in IMHO. Perhaps we should view this video and its apparant break in contradiction as a "do as I say, not as I do" type thing.
