Front rotors look shot on the one with 9,200 miles!

There are some mean cracks for such a low mileage.

Maybe they meant 9200 track miles!

I noticed that too. From the pictures the red one looks like a much nicer car although I do like the blue car color combo and for the $20K price differential I'd have to go red.

This GT2 at Gooding seems like it was stolen--$126K and I think it includes the buyer's premium.
5500 miles and near perfect condition. Est. was 150-200k

Throw on some stock wheels and euro buckets and that might have hit 150k.

Fully agree. Those wheels don't fit the car and any old 996 GT car has to have the Recaro buckets.

"...and any old 996 GT car has to have the Recaro buckets." - less your "big boned" like me. My back is about an inch too wide to fit in 'em. So.... shell back sport seats look great in my eyes -;>)

My comment was more about resale value. Perception et al.

Anyway I have the Recaro GT3 seats in my 996 and they are at least 1-2" wider than the new Carbon buckets.

+1, way too cheap.... upside is feeling completely guilt-free about driving mine today

3 years ago a clean, nothing special but not beat up 996 GT2 with if I recall more than 30-40k miles on odometer GT2 went for $75k at Barrett Jackson in West Palm Beach. The wife had my arms and mouth duct taped as it rolled across the auction block.

Do we feel these prices are a true reflection of the market? Or do they include some of the hype associated with Monterey Car Week?
