Default Euro Bucket Install for 05 GT3

Guys, need some help. I want to install the euro buckets that came with my car. I have not been able to get the links to work in the DYI section for it. Any thoughts?

Thanks Joe

I just gave it try, same results. Maybe Rockitman took down his website?

You can do a search and get installation information such as this one. Search with "seat install"

Also recommend you pad-protect the door sill and rear center console to prevent damage when moving the original heavy seats out of the car.

Really appreciate the effort to help and the note on protecting the sills.. The two strings did have some info as well.

Where in Colorado - lived in the Springs 3 different times over the years - met my wife there and try to get back every other year to see her family

Thanks Joe

pretty simple really.
disconnect the battery. THIS IS A MUST! OR YOUR AIRBAG LIGHT ON THE DASH WILL NOT GO OFF
remove mounting hardware
unplug any connectors from the seats and remove.
you need to remove the seat belt warning plug from the harness and fish it out of the oem seat. it goes to the seat belt receptacle
then replug it into the main harness and tie wrap it so it doesn't come loose.
mount the gt3 seats back into the car and bolt the seat belt receptacle onto the mounting base
reinstall the battery connections.

if you want the seat belt to go thru the lower openings you have to remove the seat belt lower attachment point and route it thru the seat then reattach

Thanks Guys - Going to give it a try today. Does the seat belt sensor wire pull out of the portion of the half block. Also I had seen not to take the key near the car and that would avoid doing the battery disconnect in another old post. If I disconnect the battery do I have to have a code for the radio?

No need to disconnect the battery.
just keep the key out of the car.
remove sensor wire by snipping the zip tie on the connector block, if present, then finding the part of the connector that pushes laterally away from the connector body, it will move out ~ 1/2 the length of the connector.
Once you've done that, the connector block separates.
caveat, I've only done this on the Euro seats and am just assuming comfort seats use the same connector.
