Kreissieg Valvetronic exhaust - any experiences?
Hey all,
I have a Kreissieg Valvetronic exhaust on my '04 GT3. At my most recent track day, right bank valve failed ... leaving it in the "not loud" position. Obviously there is the sound issue, but now varied back pressure from one side being open the other being closed - my assumption is that it is no bueno for the engine. All vacuum lines have been checked ... problem seems to reside in the trumpets that manipulate the valves. Yes, I've reached out to Kreisseg several times, but have gotten no response.
so... Questions for y'all...
Does anyone have experience rebuilding this system (if it's even possible)?
Can this system be forced to "open/loud" mode permanently (I do like the sound - not sure about other's at Mid-Ohio, but I do)?
Lastly, Is anyone running Fabspeed's Sport Cats with Muffler by-pass pipes and do you like that combination?
Thanks for the sage wisdom and wise-cracks in advance.

Looking at this image, it seems you may be able to disconnect the pneumatic actuator and clamp/wire the valve in an open position.
If there are markings on the actuator itself, you may be able to source a replacement.

It looks like the valve is just sandwiched between the two flanges. You can probably find tubing of the right outside diameter to replace it pretty easily.
Please don't though. I've been behind you at Mid Ohio and it'd deafening. I've missed shifts because of it. I've brought it up to Dennis and Thomas before, but they said there really isn't anything that can be done. So please sir, don't go louder. It's unbearable, even 3 cars back.

I'll say I like it about 90% of the time, then there's that other 10% where I nearly crash as my eardrums explode when behind him. lol
Might be ok for NCM in quiet mode, though.
