Gary
Do you know what the cost of all the various "scheduled maintenances" are through 45k miles?

No, I'm saying the opposite -- Porsches don't measure up, but some models do come close.

Because I like them -- thought I made that clear in my original post. I enjoy all kinds of cars, even Ferraris and Porsches. Go figure.

I have often heard this said of the 360, is it really the truth, that the motor needs that much attention after such a little time? What do they make them out of, glass?
No, just myths perpetuated by those who have never owned a 360. But why should facts be of any importance in these discussions.

If you have brief descriptions and costs for "scheduled maintenance" items 0-45,000 miles I'd love to hear them...

Just for you, brh -- so when you buy your 360, there will be no surprises.

Ferrari requires the first maintenance on the 360 to occur at 5k miles, and every 15k miles thereafter.

Here's a quick breakdown:

5000 miles -- total fluid flush and filter change -- oil, tranny, coolant and a 20 point check and adjust, if needed, list (i.e, tightening any loose suspension components, inspecting brakes, tires, hoses and the like) -- cost ~$700

15000 miles -- same as the 5000 miles with the addition of changing air and pollen filters, brake fluid flush (required once a year) -- cost ~ $1,000

30,000 miles -- same as the 15,000 mile service with the addition of changing all the belts (including timing belts) -- cost ~$3500
BTW, the engine does not need to pulled to change the timing belts on the 360 (it does on earlier models).

For those low mileage Ferraris, the factory recommends changing the oil at least yearly, along with the annual brake fluid flush/change. Trans-axle fluid should be changed at least every 2 years. Of course, I would never wait a year or 15,000 miles to do an oil/filter change on any Ferrari or Porsche I owned -- just my **** nature.

Hope this answers your question regarding 360 maintenance.

Btw, did I tell you I love my Porsche, as well.

So is the $6-7k 30,000 mile maintenance quote accurate in regards to the previous models?

I think I'll take the GT3 that costs less and will spank the 360 without the expensive maitnenance.

nice cars!

I don't know -- my first and only F-car experience has been with the 360, which recently had it's 3yr/30,000 mile service.

Sounds like a good plan for you -- freedom of choice is great. I think the GT3 is a wonderful car, even w/o a spanking. BTW, GT3 cost of maintenance for car enthusiasts who drive/track the car hard won't be that far off the 360 mark.

nice cars!
Thanks
