GT3 Review on Car and Driver
I just watched the review of the GT3 on Car and Driver, did anybody else see this? They just do not get it at all, their complaints were that it had a stiff suspension and it was more expensive than a corvette.

Im so sick of Car and driver. It seems like every time i watch it all they do is talk about the corvette, or compare other sports cars to it. I wonder if chevy did a little deal with C&D to get there name said on the show every 30sec. I think ive seen the history of the vette episode about a million times.

And they call the interior of the GT3 cheap? The Corvette is a good performance car for the $$, but the interior is hideous, and you're right, it is comparing apples and oranges!

Just watched it (tivo is the best) - they called the GT3 the poor mans GT2....they clearly don't get it. IIRC C&D mag had a decent review - you'd think the TV producers and the magazine writers would get together a little bit.

It aired on Spike TV so you might check their website and see if it's showing again - usually reruns a lot. I haven't seen a digital version but frankly it's hardly worth worrying about. A few comments from Hurley Haywood are the only worthwhile components. He talks about the steering being very direct and how agile the car is, then they start talking about how it's not any better than the Z06 for twice as much.

Car and Driver is such crap... They think that the Viper and the Vette are the apitomy of automotive design and sports cars in general... I have driven a vette, and it was nice, but not that nice... They just don't seem to understand that the Porsche GT3 was not built to be daily driven and is supposed to be stiff... THATS THE PURPOSE OF THE CAR!!!!

It was built to be driven daily and right to the track - something these other cars were not. The ride is perfect for anyone who loves to just hop in it and feel like they are driving a REAL sports car. And it was quite comfortable on a 5hr road trip as well..
Did anyone see the Motor Trend program on TV about the GT2 and GT3? I missed it but heard it was good..

You guys need to see Top Gear - the UK car show. They get it! Every car is tested on the same track by 'The Stig' and REALLY thrashed until he gets the best possible lap time. Great viewing - the outtakes of him going into the paddock in various cars shows just how hard he pushes. GT3 on a wet track is 4th quickest car - behing Pagani Zonda, Lambo Murcialago, Gallardo and Noble IIRC.

It's freaking HUGE. If someone has an FTP site I'll be glad to send it there but it's even too big for my email system. I think the file is around 80Mb. I don't have webspace or I'd post it for you.
