Porsche 996 Video Review

Wow, a 993 guy saying something nice about a 996?!
That's a beautiful 993 Turbo you have there. We just invited one to be in our July 30th Kansas City Automotive Museum show at the National WWI Memorial. We have 2 of them in our local PCA & every time I see one I think about how Porsche really got it right with the design (well, except for the headlights - those are kind of funny looking ).

I'm considering a 2003 C4S Silver / Blk. int. with Only 23,300 miles... Paint body and int. are almost perfect.. Will need IMS / RMS fix. Car looks / drove awesome!!
He was asking $42k.... He's agreed to $35K after a week or two of negotiations...
Thoughts??? I'll be into it after IMS / RMS (few other things) for about $38-$39K after I pay taxes... Too high???

3rd. owner. He claims all records but I forgot to ask to see them on the drive day (we ended up hanging out and going to eat with some of his friends..great evening). I will check when I go back this weekend on next for the PPI.
Still leaning these things so not up on options.. I know it doesn't have Nav. Not sure on heated seats..don't think so.
It looked basic in there really...
I can PM you the link on Autotrader

Remember that the car is worth ~$10k & the engine the remaining $25k. Focus on the health of the motor however you can, PPI, test drive, make sure the owner isn't using thick oil to mask underlying problems (ticking, as an example).
If you get a healthy motor you have a great shot at a good ownership experience. GL with the process.

Low miles on these cars is NO guarantee of happy days ahead, and if things go wrong and you need an engine you'll be VERY underwater.
My car was $14.8k carrera 2 cab, 1 previous owner, all services done at Porsche, 102k miles. Very good shape.
After clutch/AOS/IMS it purrrs and very good oil consumption. If the engine blows and I fix it for $15k I'll still only be in for $30k

Too much, read up on these motors. IMHO you are better off with a much lower priced car with high miles, even just looking at IMS if the stock IMS made it to high miles it means the IM shaft has good runout, if not it would have died already.
