Default My "New to Me" wheels

Woohoo! They arrived! I went to pick them up today and took them right to my shop to get painted. I will post the final product after tires are mounted/balanced and everything is installed. I still feel like it needs a little red somewhere though. Maybe on the Porsche crest? What do you think?

Ditto on the nice wheels. I'd definitely add the red bars.

schweeeet!

Can't wait to see the pics. A red detail would add a little pop.

Wheels are Avant Garde Ruger Mesh 19x8.5 et45 and 19x11 et56 (looking at the wheel info online I think they are et52). The guy I bought them from had them on a NB and said they fit fine with 295/30's and 235/35's. Does this sound right? I need to buy tires soon and will most likely buy on line.

I would do a bit more research on the fit. I'm not saying they will not but I recently put on a (new to me) set of Kenises that were 19" with 64 offset and 295/30 tires. They fit with no rubbing but the outer edge of tire is close to fender edge (2004 C2 so have factory rolled fenders), see pic. Just would hate to have painting and mounting done on a wheel that will stick out 8 mm (5/16") more. Thinking of adding US 030 suspension but concerned about lowering car more than OEM (both due to tire and garage slope entry), for your info, I am running 235/35 tires in front with 8.5/50 offset with no rubbing.

Thanks texcwa, that's the look I am going for. My car is lowered a bit and want them in line with the body.

HawkFan, I will be in Vagas the week of July 10 - 15, will be at the Clark County Shooting complex for the US Open Trap and Skeet championships (I coach) and would love to see your car if you get them mounted with your car being slightly lowered. As I mentioned, I am wanting to add a bit more suspension and looking at the 030 kit since I heard it only lowers car an inch at most.

More red is always a good thing.

Methinks your vote doth not matter much in this scenario.

Maybe just a little red, like this? I think the "rim" area of the new wheel is a lot skinnier than the one on the Carrera II's. A stripe like the one you run right now might be too much on these beauties.
