I just replaced the Actuator and hood strut
Still will not open unless helped up
Any ideas appreciated

 

two rubber caps on each end of frunk. You can adjust taller or shorter (you need a little taller) to adjust the pop when latch releases.

On the rear:

You can also adjust the latch mechanism up and down, its fiddly the rubber gasket helps pop it up a little too.

Do you have the standard engine lid? A new gasket just pulls out and you and press in a new one if yours has gone a bit flat.

Also if adjusting the deck lid remove the left tail light so you can use the manual cable so you don't need to run back to the leaver (MK1) or button (MK2).
