Pulled the trigger on a 996
So I decided to pull the trigger on a 996. A friend of mine owned the car for the prior three years. Nearly zero maintenance history. I know the spark plugs, plug tubes and front cooling fan have been replaced recently. But that's about it.
So far couldn't be more pleased with the car. Handles like none other that I've driven.

Some body else was saying that white seems to be a somewhat rare color. I really like it in white.
Honestly, the 911 was not even on my radar until a couple of months ago when I mentioned to my friend if he was ever interested in moving on from his I might be interested. At the time I was driving a 2001 BMW 3 coupe (since sold to help fund this purchase) and was looking to possibly upgrade to an M3. Instead I started looking into the 996 market and lurking on here for info. In my opinion the 996 offers exceptional value with great performance and looks for the price. While I got the car at what I consider a very fair price at $9500 I am anticipating maintenance costs as I plan to essentially DD the car in the good weather months.
