Default Wheel alignment - tyre shop, Indy or dealership?

Hey all,

Just ordered a new set of Michelin PS2s - 225/285 (04' 996 C2) which I'm having installed on loose wheels this Saturday.

Thought it was also a good time to do an alignment as well.

Anyone have any feedback on who's done their alignment (tyre shop, Indy or dealership).

Can't do much with any specific recommendations as im not in the US. Just after some guidance on who's gone where and their experiences.

Have been recommended two tyre shops here in Melbourne which came in at $70 and $110 and the OPC at $195.

In hindsight I should have bought the tyres from one of the recommended shops but too late now as they have been paid for.

Wondering if there is anything worth spending the extra money for by going to the OPC.

Or is it just a fairly standard alignment which most reputable places can get done properly?

Thanks!

Find a shop that specializes in race cars and have a performance string alignment done. Yes, it will cost more than an alignment shop, but if they know what they are doing, it will be a better alignment

thanks JayG, the OPC does have a motorsport division haha. Leaning towards having them do it in the hope they will set it all up correctly and my car will also be there for some other minor work as well.

I read through the service manual there is a fair bit to adjust front and rear I don't think a tyre shop would follow the exact torque specifications either.
