Default Wheels spin in park (normal??)- Tiptronic

Finishing up the engine replacement on my 2002 996 Tiptronic. It is up on jack stands and am about to drop it back on the ground. I noticed that when the car is in PARK, the rear wheels spin.

I removed the engine/trans and reinstalled it. I checked the linkage and ran it through the positions. All seems to work fine. Did I miss something? Should the rear wheels be locked when in park?

I did keep the torque converter locked in place in the transmission, when I divorced the engine and Tiptronic.

I recall reading somewhere that the wheels do move on a tip when in park off the ground. Not sure where though.

When in park in any car, wheels will move freely in opposite direction. Park position,in essence locks wheel against the wheel in the automatic car; IE, if driver's side wheel is rotated forward, passenger side wheel will rotate backward. That's how car is kept in place on when in P position.

Thanks. I usually work on my Jeeps, which are manual transmissions.
