Default Water pump removal

Is there a trick to getting it out? I backed out the carrier plate bolts and the pump is free to move around but I can't get it to come out.

If you're removing it from the bottom, make sure you've followed all the DIY steps from i.e. the Pelican parts instructions. You will have to rotate it some to remove it. It has also been reported that it can be pulled from the top with the belt tensioner removed.

When I did mine, I had to remove the thermostat housing (which I was replacing anyway) and move the hard line that is in that area. That made it easy to remove it from the bottom.

I used this video. The guy in the video doesn't use the OEM metal gasket and uses sealant. Ignore that part of the video. Everything else is very helpful.

Thanks. Yeah that will do the trick. The hard line is basically what's blocking it.
