Question Connecting replacement stereo with Bose amplifier help?

Hi...I have a 2002 911 Carrera, which came with the factory-installed Bose upgraded audio system (no navigation system).

The display on the Becker CDR-220 died (apparently a common issue) so I decided to simply get a new stereo installed...a Pioneer MVH-X580BS.

My question is...one place is saying I need a "4-Channel Line Output Converter" (a PAC LP5-4) in order to continue using the Bose amplifier...whereas another place is saying I do not, since the new stereo will have 6 RCA preamp outputs on the back.

Does anyone have any firsthand knowledge or which is correct??

Thanks so much for your help-
Robert

You should consider contacting CAI.

https://cai-store.com

They'll have all the proper wiring harnesses to connect your new Pioneer HU to the existing system.

Be thankful it's not the MOST based Bose.

Thanks for the recommendation...CAI certainly has a great deal of info/expertise on Porsche audio.
