Do 17" C4 wheels fit on C4S
Hi,
New to the forum and done tons of research but trying to get a definitive answer before I pull the trigger on a set of 17" wheels off a 1999 C4. If I put spacers on (25mm rear, 6mm front) will these wheels fit on a 2003 C4S. This is for a snow tire setup, the car hasn't arrived here yet and I don't want to let these wheels get away as they seem like a good deal and I would like to use 17's for snow tires if possible. I believe another forum member Riad said 17's did fit but I'm not sure which 17" wheels he was using.
Thanks

What are the widths and offsets of the wheel. I guess since you're just using them for snow tires, then I guess it won't matter what they look at, but I'll be frank here, you're the first person that I've ever seen want to even consider putting 17" on a widebody C4S. It's gonna look funny. If it works, you must promise to post some pictures for our entertainment. :-)

Post up the offsets if you can. I'm running NB 18" turbo twists on my C4S for a winter setup, and went with 10mm front and 23mm rear for spacers. 6mm might be cutting it close to clear the caliper up front. And 23mm is not wide enough, rear wheels look a little funky, and I wish I had gone 30mm.
Offset I have is +50 front, +65 rear. I would recommend using a wheel offset calculator to make sure your setup will fit.
All that said, I would hold out until you find 18's that fit.

They should work fine. B3 is right though, you'll want to find out the offsets before you purchase the spacers. Also, double check the clearance you have right now from your caliper to your wheel. Make sure that decreasing the diameter an 1" will still give you plenty of clearance.

As near as I can tell the fronts are 17" x 7.5" ET52 Rears 17" x 9" ET47. In general I need an answer to this question before everyone dives into 18" suggestions, that info seems to have been gone over in detail on the forum. As far as clearance from a diameter perspective the car currently has 19's on it but I can certainly try to check for that when it shows up. What specifically is going to look funny the smaller wheel or how deep it sits in the wheel well? Also here's the link that I found that seems to address it.
