E-karts are the new social security 996. Having done some e-kart racing, I can tell you that this guy is really really good...and he handles traffic with excellent stratagey and skill. For my own taste, I always love racing someone else's car. I've (had) built my own race cars and enjoyed every dollar they ate, but that part of my life is over...money wise. In stock form my 996 is great for the road, but when it comes to driving so that you have bruises from contact with the seat, I'm very happy with karts.

Looks like fun! Nothing like that around here, although they run gas carts on a nice little outdoor cart track just a few miles from here. You bring your own, but for less than a grand you can be racing.

They have a track like that just outside of Madrid that we go to when visiting family there. It's branded "Carlos Sainz", who I assume is a Spanish F1 driver. Great fun with the 2 level track.

They seem to be popular in Spain, go back every two years to Spain to see family in the north in Pamplona area and running of the bulls (San Fermin Festival), they have one there in Huartes also, LOL last time I did cart racing my body was sore for a week.

There are numerous facilities scattered around the states. In my opinion the electric karts are much better than the gasoline karts. Quicker response, less bogging in corners and generally faster. Pole Position is one and for you crazies going to Vegas there are two locations. Another one is K1 Speed; for the San Diego crowd there is one there. One warning I do know Pole Position karts do not like it when you trail brake! The kart dumps the throttle off if you try! Ask me how I know...

JohnCA: I understand what you mean about sore, but it is worth it, and I used to race these things when much younger. Age has its disadvantages!

That's cool John. My oldest son had a bachelor party several years ago at an F1 cart facility in Ma.Must of had 12 of us racing several 3 heats, then the fastest 6 times had a 10 lap race. I was very sore the next day and was surprised how physically demanding it was.
