I like it too. That's one of the nicest parts about owning a 996, collectibility is not a factor so you can do whatever the hell you want

I strongly believe in doing what makes you happy. It's your car, do what you want with it!

That's true, which is further reinforcing the idea that I will never get to own an aircooled 911. The values just keep getting sillier (was looking again today), and even assuming I could justify paying what they're asking I would be pissing away real money doing much in the way of personal touches.

Looks like I need to buy a new suspension, sport cats, mufflers, headers then.

Installed my LEDs in the side marker lamps. Also in the reading lights (dome light missing as it is on order). Also received my H&R Sport Springs. They should be installed tomorrow. A couple shots all tucked in for the night. Also installed my flasher relay so my turn signals work again!

Here is how I'm trying to help you...should you ever choose to have one professionally made.

I used a clever tongue & cheek comment, whilst pointing you to a guys website, who makes really high quality, custom made, hood crests. You can scroll thru and see many of his examples.

Prices start from $149.00 up.

Yours is lovely, enjoy.

Here's what I had him do for my arctic silver 996...

Ha! Yeah I had looked around before I just painted mine. It was free. Those ones are nice and I actually contacted the guy that does them. I just couldn't bring myself to spend the money on it. Yours looks good!

no more rust on my quarter either!

Looks good. Besides the speaker surrounds, did you do anything else on the doors?
