Aftermarket Intake: Managing car wash-related moisture / MAF issues / throttle hiccup

There was a guy named "Promo" on a site (who put giant domestic-type GT stripes on his Hyundai) we used to beat down constantly for his HP calculations. "The catback is 15, the intake is 12, bored-out throttle body is 15, Chinese headers are 15" and suddenly his 250HP Hyundai was "making" about 400HP.
Promo might have been where I cut my "mocking people on car forums" teeth; we started rating every stupid eBay upgrade (performance chips and electric superchargers) as "Promo-approved."

Jhbrennan - Sounds like you have a good system in place. I have some waterless wash stuff to do spot cleaning in between washes & afterwards to clean up problem areas. I only use on areas I'm planning to respray down the road (hood, front & rear bumper). You probably know better than I do about how the paint is protected with that approach - thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the input Jake.
Lol @ Promo approved. At first when I bought the Carrera I definitely had a view that it could be modified into being something it's not. Since then I've just come to enjoy the car's virtues (handling, mechanically smooth driving exp., perfect highway gearing, grip, etc) and properly respect its downsides.
I'm putting new filters on this week that have a bit more surface area than the K&Ns. Once I get the socks on I'll post and updated pic.
