Default Trailer hitch for 996 and Boxster

Hi, just bought a trailer hitch that goes on the bumper covers. The single axle trailer has lights. How do I hook up the lights? Do I need to hook up the lights? Trailer used only to bring slicks to and from track, plus some goodies like drinks, jack, oil/toolbox, etc. Thanks.

yes you do need to hook up the lights on the trailer...never done it on a porsche, but you basically have to tap a wiring harness for the trailer it the rear light. Best way would be to remove the tail light, and tap into the wires there. You'll need to know which wires power which bulbs, etc. Either by trial and error, or ask Loren for the wiring diagram...

Depending on what you're carrying, alot of people buy the roof transport system and carry slicks to the track that way...
