Since putting bypass pipes on the engine has been running a tad cooler, when I get around to a crossover I'm going to either coat it or wrap it - assuming that research doesn't throw a red flag against that.

Just an FYI, I had mine coated. Seems to be slightly less heat coming out of the wheel well, but hard to quantify. I know they look all pretty under there, and that's all that matters!

I had the gundo's... friend has the fisters, neither quite did it for me so I bought an Afterhours exhaust for $950 and couldn't be happier... Plus they only weigh 8 lbs, so I had a significant weight savings.
I can't help that I like my weekend cars loud! But for someone who truly DD's their car, the fisters are a great option. Had I done fisters an X pipe probably would have been necessary

When you run an X pipe in general, it helps performance due to the design of flow. You can also change your stock cats to high performance cats 200 Cell or you can eliminate your cats all together.
X pipes in general also make the exhaust system slightly higher pitched (more exotic) if you will. I have put an X pipe on every naturally aspirated car I have ever owned.
