How long can I drive with out registration or tags (in Colorado)?

My 2cents
My last two auto ins. policies (GEICO-Florida and Allstate-Ohio) were clear... they coverage applied only for properly registered and insured cars. In both cases, the ins. companies weren't being jerks, but were simply following state laws.
Moral of the story...don't take chances; too much is at stake.

Another 996 to join Northern Colorado!
Geez, these cars are popping up all over in Fort Collins/Loveland especially... I probably pass 2-3 on any given day. Some wave, others just drive by and stare at you. Not the same culture as the local Audi's where everyone gives a thumbs up.

That's because you guys live too far north to get waved at LOL:
To the OP's question. You may drive the car from where you pick it up to your Home without plates. Just make sure you have the signed title, bill of sale, and you new insurance card on the vehicle.
And expect to get pulled over. I have done this several times and had no issue but did get pulled over every time.
