Classic Porsche triple side stripes on C4S - easy DIY
#32
Just added these to my C4S. I've always liked the triple stripes on early cars and I was concerned that it would be too over the top in a heavy contrast on a more contemporary model, so I opted to go with more of a ghost/muted effect. If I get bored of them, it was only $50 and an hour's worth of my time.

wanted to say nice work on the decals... I like these but am too much of a follower to be the first in the city with a painted C2 996. Maybe in a few years there will be a bandwagon to hop on. They look great!

Just leave the car in the sun and you can peel them right off if you don't like them. No tools are needed. If they've been on for a few years you 'might' need to use a plastic edge like a credit card to get them to come off at parts.

So that's what a Porsche looks like...
Personally, the "Carrera" decals is more period correct IMO for the car and also educates people that a Porsche 911 is also referred to as a Carrera.
The older looking decals would best be served with a 996 that went for a full retro theme with the Fuch wheels and duck bill spoiler IMO. Just my $0.02
