I have a nice set of 18" hollow spokes off a 01 turbo. Wheels were painted black, but weren't done well. For resale purposes. Do you think I'm better off painting them the original silver? or should I go with a dark grey? similar to a 05 turbo S color

You sure the wheels are hollow spokes? The early MY Turbos came with solid spokes IIRC. Hollow spokes showed up a year or so after the first MY.

Unless you are a professional painter my advice is to leave them alone sell them as is or have them refinished by a quality wheel shop.

Be aware that there is some risk. When my Turbo was in for some body work -- hit a mule deer -- and the passenger side front wheel was sent out to be refinished the wheel shop ruined the wheel and had to buy me a new one.

We have refinished many of these wheels, so here are some ideas for you... you can always opt for the standard OEM finish.

My 2 cents: sell AS-IS and price accordingly. Best of luck.

Let's have some fun first ?
Get some quotes from local Powder-Coaters who do lots of wheels and see what the alternatives are ?
In Los Angeles, try Triple A Coating in El Monte.

I have a nice set of Sport Techno 18's on my C4S...apparently people rave about them but the styling in not for me. I would love to trade them for a set of true hollowspokes, with or without a crappy paint job! I'm near San Fransico if this sounds appealing

I love the red wheels, I think they look cool on a red car.
