Unhappy GPS radar detector interfering with Sat. Nav

Hi guys

Am I right in assuming that GPS radar detectors will not work when Sat.Nav is on. I have had conflict with GPS phones and Sat Nav in the past

Thanks

GPS is a passive system, meaning two GPS devices just recive signals how can they interfere with each other? For what it's worth I have a GPS Camera/Radar detector and it works fine with my PCM2 Sat nav.

What exactly is GPS used for with a radar detector? To show your own speed as calculated by the satellites? Now if your GPS could show you the location of officers using radar guns in your area on a map, that might be worth something...

In the U.K we have fixed speed cameras, about 12,000 of them. The GPS based detector tells you when you are approching one. It does not actually detect radar signals.

I believe they have these cameras in Belgium, Sweeden & Finland aswell.

They also hide these camera's behind signs so it's not so obvious when you are approching one..espically at night...you only know you've been caught when you get the dreaded double flash behind you...one flash means the camera is out of film...

I beleive they tried that out in the midwest a few years ago...
Last picture on a lot of cameras was of a pickup truck with a balaklava wearing man hanging out the window holding a baseball bat.

GPS does not interfere with radar detection at all. I have PCM and a Passport SRX, no problems with either one.
