It's actually a very worthwhile upgrade. I was so tired of accessory plugs falling out all the time because of the European dimensions of the original socket. The installation is a breeze if you break the old one apart with a pair of wire cutters to get it out. It's not like you're going to reuse it. Trying to get it out intact is very difficult and time consuming.

Hmmm. That's pretty cool. I do get sick of my USB adapter falling out.

First mod I did on my 996s. Think it was like 16 bucks at the time and took less than ten minutes. Really worth it.

I bought it last weekend for the same reason everyone else mentions. It should be right up there with changing out your pumpkins.
