Default Front mesh grills for GT3 front bumper?

I now have gt3 front bumper plus side skirts on my 996 and like to place a black mesh grill on the center vent. Whom should I contact to get something like that. Also like to ask I'm debating on a lip spoiler but worry it would be scraping all over the place-what's a good one to get whether aftermarket or oem. Thanks in advance. Mike

I believe there is only an oem spoiler lip for the aerokit, costs $70-90, I would definitely get it since if it scrapes or gets damaged it is easier to repair or replace than the newly painted bumper. The factory gt3's came with lip unpainted but alot of people paint them. I always scrape my unpainted one and you cant see any damage unless you lift car up.

also, regarding the mesh. I'm sure alot of people have them but one guy that i know that definitely has them is danny from upon3motoring.com, he tried to sell it to me when i bought my spoiler lip from him. he charged me $95 for lip but i think you can do better than that if a dealer has one in stock.

hey andreas, it is just a simple black plastic piece that goes under the factory aerokit bumper. It is screwed into the already existing holes with some plastic rivets provided by dealership. it takes 5-10 minutes. you can look at any picture of 99-01 996 aeorkit and you can see the black plastic underneath the bumper, Loren posted the part numbers for the piece and rivets a few times on rennlist you may want to try a search. I believe you can see his spoiler lip on his page also it is painted silver.

Flat6 I also did not go through with the aerokit boomerang wing, although i am beginning to like it more now. I just put on the bumper and sideskirts, no gt fins either. If I were to go with a wing I would get the carrera wing as you mentioned, it kinda looks like the wing on the turbo aerokit to me. If you go aftermarket I believe the techart 2c is the best looking it looks just like the 993 turbo wing and i think it uses the existing grill but still not a perfect fit like factory wing.

Raffi- I saw the aerokit cab wing at the dealership and liked it alot so chances are I'm going with that but question is when(waited 4+ years on the GT3 front bumper and skirts so maybe aheile before the wing goes). I thought of doing the GT trims too but I've been thinking of using the rear bumper from the 02 996 model but don't know how my exhaust tips will fit or not. Regards. Mike

thanks Raffi for the info.

Mike, about the wheels IMHO, what i like the best are the Cargraphic , the Gemballa wheels also, are just too beautiful!

Talking about the rear bumper, why you don't try to install the C4S bumper (As Don Watson did ) it looks great!

Well Andreas- I think the c4s rear spoiler is wider so will not fit but I agree with you-looks nice. They make an aftermarket version u think? Regards. Mike
