Default Durametric cam deviation on ROW engines.

I believe my engine is ROW, though it has been changed before I bought the car, so I'm not sure.

Would Durametric report a value for the bank 2 sensor even if there is none? I'm getting -9 on bank 1 and -6 on bank 2. I'm asking because I am curious about how the software works. I'm going to change the pads straight away.

This is a 2.5L Boxster engine, but I believe it behaves the same as the early 3.4L software-wise.

You can check if the bank 2 sensor is there. This thread shows some info on an engine that's without the bank 2 sensor. Was the cam deviation read after the engine was fully warmed up? My understanding is if it reads non-zero, there got to be a sensor.

According to that thread the value is zero if there is no sensor. Can this be confirmed?
If ROW shows zero I must have a US engine even though I live in Europe and the car is European. Strange.

You can also monitor actual cam angle for both banks in Durametric and if you see reading in bank 2, that's another proof you got a sensor there.
