Default 996 newbie has 99 C4 questions

I'm no newbie to owning Porsches and 911s, but I am new to the 996. I am considering a 99 Carrera 4 Cabriolet with 30k miles, heavily optioned and dealer certified. I can tell you all the weaknesses in a 911SC, 3.2 Carrera, 930 and 993, having owned seven examples, but I haven't the faintest idea what to look at or evaluate on a 996 C4. Anybody got any pointers for me? I'm surprised there isn't a FAQ on this as there is on the 993 forum ... but then again, perhaps I missed it?

TIA

Hi there, do a search for a post called 'Maintenance questions with '99 C2'.
Should answer some of your questions.

Hi, and welcome to RENNLIST! .. I suggest to you go to www.alldata.com and take a look at the titles of the TSB's for the 996. That may give you some ideas. I don't think there was anything as serious as the infamous wiring harness recall on some of the 993s, but there are still plenty of TSBs for the 996 series.
