P0450 & P0197 - possible short?
So we've gotten a LOT of rain lately, and I'm noticing my CEL comes on after the rains during quick acceleration. I'm getting P0450 & P0197 (see pic):
It seems suspect that I get these after a rain and hard acceleration - so could there be a short somewhere being triggered by water runoff? Thoughts?

Those sensor connectors should be weatherproof. The DME plugs are not though. Do you have a cab?
Also, those two are going through different wire looms. Have you tried to reset the DME and see if the codes come back? The repair manual calls for sensor replacement for P0450. For P0197, you can test the sensor resistance from the DME side once that DME plug is removed. It will be very difficult to get to the sensor and its connector as it's in the middle of the engine.

Btw, I have cleared the codes via durametric and they came back, but it's been raining until yesterday I'll clear again and see if they come back.

Wet under the seats? Water sloshing around under the battery? Make sure the drains under the battery are clean.

So I checked the battery drains - all clear. No moisture inside that I could detect. Cleared the codes again and so far, haven't come back. And it only rained once since then, but so far so good. Thanks all for the leads. I'll report back if they show up again.
