Just bought my first Porsche ever - 2004 911 4S Cabriolet
At 51 years of age, I was always interested in a 911 Porsche. I have had several Corvettes, and recently drove home our ordered 2016 C7 z51 coupe. I looked for awhile, and came across this 2004 triple black wide body (what I wanted as far as color) one female owner with 46.5k miles. My only real dislike was the tiptronic trans, but that is a good thing for my wife, and there are a ton of opinions - good and not so good on that trans.
The main thing was the car had abundant "micro-scratches" The kind you get when someone washes the car with the same towel that they did the whole car with, wheels, etc. Black is probably the worst color for this type of washing error. So this weekend was spent with a compound/polish treatment. She came out great! The rear deck lid script was removed by someone at a Miami Heat game parking, so that has been ordered. I love the Techart 19x8.5 fronts and 19x11 rear wheels. I love the car so far, I am pretty ****, so just getting things dialed in, and learning some unique things on a car I have never owned before, so far I am liking the experience. The car overall is in excellent condition.
I just finished the rear garage (32x26 air conditioned) so that is where the new/older 911 will live it's life. The front garage houses the new C7 Vette, and two Harleys (a 2014 V-rod, heavily modified motor designed by Porsche) so I guess I am somewhat of a strange bird on my vehicle choices

Congrats and welcome. BTW, I also have a cab/tip like yours. BTW, I am been lusting after a Vette for years. Thought about getting a V-rod but settled on an 02 Road King Classic instead. Looks like you have a full dresser next to the V-rod?
P.S. based on the "sag" of your exhaust, new engine mounts may be a good place to start getting things dialed in

tranny: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...ion_Mounts.htm
P.S. Good time to have new fluid and filter with tranny mounts (if your car needs it)

Congrats.
After you clay and give your car a two stage paint correction polish job(mezerna recommended), coat it with something like CQuartz and top it with a product like Reload. After each wash, only dry it using quick detailer and mf towel to prevent scratches. I recommend Ultima Waterless Wash Plus for best performance/value. I usually use a combo of leaf blower and mf/qd. And if I'm remote, California Waterblade and QD/mf combo. This has prevented the soft black paint from scratches.
I have 2 black cars in the fleet including my wife's that sits outside 24/7. Neighbors are always asking how my wife's car stays so clean looking.
Of course if you already know this, then please disregard and get to it.

I would suggest replacing the engine mounts only, not the transmission mount - unless you know there is a problem with it. If the transmission mount is not torn (visual inspection) you can put an insert in it (function first sells them) that should help prevent it from wearing out. My understanding is that the transmission mount is a tough job and may not be necessary. The engine mounts are easy to do.

Welcome! Looks great!! Love the back of the C4S. Question.... was the rear strip painted black? We all (C4S owners) have the red strip that goes from tail light to tail light. Yours is black. Just wondering if it was painted or replaced with a black one which I've never seen. Looks great though. especially if you wanted to upgrade your tail lights.
