My headers don't look like that on my 2000. I am pretty sure they are stock. Nothing else on the car had been touched/modified when I got it.

The engine was power washed in place. You can see the pressure washer marks on the suspension parts that didn't clean up so well. .

This - but more likely with a steamer for a while. There are steamer machines that put out a fair amount of pressure, and they can do a soap, then steam, then degreaser, then steam. It's costly but that's my op. Big truck places have them typically.
