Default Lexan Rear Window

Broke the rear window in my 996 c2 - was thinking of replacing with lexan.. Any thoughts..

It is soft and you need to check into how to clean it properly. And it is not Windex BTW. For a DD I would advise against it. Just had to have new aquarium to pieces cut and I asked about Plexi or Lexan and that was the shops answer.

Are we talking a coupe or cabriolet? In my personal opinion, I'd avoid any type of plastic for windows, even it was for a convertible. No matter how much they claim it will hold up or "not scratch", they will scratch and will be susceptible to oxidation (i.e. yellowing). Cheers!

its a street/track car... not a DD... but the cost is about the same for Lexan vs Glass... just looking for pros/cons...

If you're totally fine with having paint swirls, then I don't think how the lexan ages will bother you. You will inevitably put swirls and scratches.
