2002 Tiptronic transmission removal
Hello Tip owners, Yes, not finding much detail regarding removal, issues, watch outs,etc.
So, you remove the starter, access the 6 TC bolts and.....???? Give it a pull? To unmate trans from Motor.?
I will be removing the Motor and transmission as one, and deal with it out of the car for the first go round, 911 we're simple!! 986, jury is still out. Replacement motor, new ims,etc, just wrestling with the transmission....

As long as we're asking questions, even though Vince may not longer be around Rennlist: did you have to replace the trans mount or was it in relavtively good shape?

Re: Castrol ATF... no long term problems whatsoever. Castrol recommends this for transmissions requiring LT71141.
