Default Fuel injectors for a 3.4 Supercharged. Any suggestions?

We are in the process of installing a supercharger on a 996 3.4L. It is not a complete kit so I am missing the correct fuel injectors.

Can someone please let me know which fuel injectors are needed? The car is going to run around 5PS to 6 PSI of boost and aiming for around 400+ HP

Thanks

If the supercharger was part of a complete kit perhaps you can consult with the manufacturer to find out what injector sizes it recommended?

It is possible the kit comes with or requires a "tune" and the tune comes with some added injector active time. While the engine receives sufficient fuel the injectors work overtime and may not last as long as they would in a stock engine.

Or you can install the supercharger and then take the car to a tuner and if he can't adjust the injector pulse times maybe he can recommend different injectors, or more fuel pressure, or ?

While I doubt they are interchangeable the 996 Turbo develops ~413HP so its injectors are about the right "size". You might look into if the Turbo injectors will work for your application.

Check out tuner kits -- ones that don't involve adding a supercharger/turbo-charger -- that deliver enough increase in HP to require different injectors and see what injector is recommended.

VF uses Bosch EV14 fuel injectors. Maybe you should get it running and sneak up on the boost during tuning. See where your AFR's are before you worry too much. Fuel may not be as big of a problem as your rod bolts if stock.

Here's a link to a parts list that came with my version 3 VF kit.

The injectors are INJ-03 (from the parts sheet). I don't recall the mfg.

Here's my install thread over on 6speed.

This specific post contains photos of the injectors.

I think that they are the Bosch "green giants" (Bosch 42 lb/440 CC 0280155968).

The partnumber is listed on the side of the injectors. Does anyone have a photo of the VF supplied injectors where you can see the partnumber?
