How did you determine "confirmed to work"? Walmart is not on the list...Assuming you submitted it around the time of the original post there is no way you got the rebate all ready. I am assuming that you used the website online submission and that it was accepted pending review which is different from "confirmed to work". Can you clarify?
2. The last two same promos they've had previous years worked via Walmart.
3. Some person called Mobil customer service and verified it via phone.
4. This promo started in March 1st and some peeps already got the proper confirmation through the online rebate status page: http://mobil.rebateresearch.com as you said, but I see no reason why it would be denied this year.

1. The list says it is only a "partial" list of participating retailers.

Interesting...I'll have to try the HF oil in my 996 at the next oil change. Been really happy with the Dollar General stuff(Made in the USA baby!). I do mix in some zinc modifiers for the extra protection though. I figure if it's good for the aircooled crowd, it must be good for us watercooled crowd.

Went to WalMart to purchase three jugs yesterday. Why three? Because I had some leftover bottles from a case I bought at NAPA so now I have enough for two oil changes.
Wally World is an interesting place. With the exception of the greeter, people don't seem too happy there. Glad it's not really close to my house so I tend to end up at Target instead when I need my retail store fix. But those low prices ($10 less per jug than my local auto parts store!) more than make up for the experience.

I just switch to liquimoly 5w40 from Amazon - yeah about $10 more than m1 for 5ltr - but I want to see if it improves my oil consumption issue. So far, oil pressure seems slightly higher at idle (warm) and the idle seems smoother (but that may just be my imagination) . I haven't hammered it yet to see how low pressure drops - m1 got very close to 1 bar after hard run ..at idle. Uoa however never showed any issues.
