Exclamation Visor Airbag warning stick removal tip

For those who have black interiors with the vinyl sunvisors...I removed the airbag warning sticker w/ de-natured alcohol and a towel as described previously on this board. While the sticker was removed, I was not completely happy with the results, albeit they were better than with the sticker on.

It seemed that once the sticker was removed, there was an outline patch of the sticker that was clearly visible on the visor. It had a little white residue that was left in the grain of the vinyl. Here is the "Tip" I figured out... Take some kiwi black shoe polish and polish the former sticker area with it, let it dry, then buff. It makes a huge improvement and almost makes the area where the sticker once was invisible. It may take two or three shoe polish apps, but it is a dramatic improvement and makes it look like there was no sticker there in the first place. FYI

Note: This does not apply to the sticker on the vanity mirror since I have not tried to remove that yet.

I found that 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner works the best. Then apply 303 Aerospace Protectant. Either remove the visors first, or put a large towel on the dash & your lap for protection, adn when doing the mirror flaps, put a folded paper towel in between to absorb.

...or order nice, leather ones from Gert (that come without the warning labels)...
